The address is given as 11 Baker Street in 1936 directory. The Commercial Inn was a tied house of Godsell’s & Sons of Stroud in 1909. On 8th of March of that year it was submitted to the Compensation Authority for closure as ‘not being required to meet the wants of the neighbourhood.’ It obviously had its licence renewed as the Commercial Inn traded for several years more. The building was eventually demolished.
